Unfortunately, freestanding whiteboards cannot be used in the small study rooms in Joyner Library for security and safety reasons.
Whiteboards create visibility issues and impede the ability to exit the small study rooms quickly in case of emergency. It is also exceptionally difficult to move them in and out of the small rooms without striking and potentially damaging the surrounding furnishings.
Every study room in the library has a whiteboard. Finally, you are also welcome to use the freestanding whiteboards at the carrels throughout the open areas of the building, provided they still permit visibility.
