Usually, yes -- depending on what you request.

  • Most books and media items can be shipped to you by the ECU Libraries without cost to you.
  • Copies of articles and book chapters can most often be scanned and delivered to you by email.
  • Some materials, though, cannot be shipped or scanned (e.g. rare or fragile materials), but we will let you know if we cannot provide what you have requested.

To request items to be shipped to you, login to ILLiad

  • If you have not used ILLiad before, you will be prompted to create an account.
  • During the registration process, please select that you are Distance Education as your status, Distance Education for your location, and Mail to Address as your Loan Delivery Method.
  • If you want items shipped to you by UPS at the library’s expense, be sure to enter a physical street address, not a PO Box. If you enter a PO Box, we will have to mail the item by the US Postal Service, which can be slower.
