On-Campus Delivery

The ECU Libraries are pleased to offer the delivery of library materials to faculty and staff who are on-campus. Requested items will be delivered to departmental offices in person or by campus mail. Delivery time will usually be within a few weekdays, depending on delivery method, staff availability, and item location.

Requests may be placed through the Libraries’ Catalog using the Place Hold option. Step by step instructions with screenshots are available in PDF format.

Please ensure that the Libraries have your correct on-campus address information, including Mail Stop number. We have provided instructions for how to update your address. Failure to provide an accurate on-campus address will delay your delivery or cause it to not be delivered.

Faculty and staff located on the health sciences campus may continue to use Laupus Library’s document delivery service through ILLiad for campus delivery. For details and assistance, contact Laupus’ Interlibrary Loan office.

In-Office Renewals

Joyner Library offers in-office renewals for library items that can no longer be renewed online, by email, or by phone (e. g. have reached the 3 renewal limit). This service is only available to faculty and staff with offices on the main campus. If you would like to request an in-office renewal, please submit the request form. We ask that all items to be renewed are made ready and accessible to our staff so that they may process the renewal request efficiently. If any items due for renewal are flagged as on hold by another patron or recalled for processing, library employees will need to return the items to Joyner Library. Any outstanding bills on your account must be resolved before we can renew items. For details, visit In-Office Services for Faculty and Staff webpage.

In-Office Returns/Pick-Up

Joyner Library offers in-office pickup of library items needing to be returned. This service is only available to faculty and staff with offices on the main campus. If you would like to request an in-office renewal, please submit the request form. We ask that all items are made ready and be accessible and free of notes, paperwork, and personal items.
