For Joyner Library and the Music Library, renewals of books, DVDs, CDs, and other materials from the circulating collections are usually allowed, provided that one does not have any unpaid fines or overdue materials, you have not already renewed the item three times, and another patron has not placed a hold on the title. Equipment, reference titles, print journals, and course reserve items may NOT be renewed online or by phone.

Renewals can be made in person at the Circulation desk and online through the My Account feature of the ECU Libraries Catalog. You may also request renewals from the Circulation desk by email at circulation@ecu.edu and by phone at (252) 328-6518. When calling, please have the items you would like to renew with you. When emailing, please list the titles you would like renewed.

For Laupus Health Sciences Library, you can renew your books by calling (252) 744-2219 or by emailing your name and title(s) of books to hslaccserv@ecu.edu

You may also renew your books by bringing them into the library or you can renew online by going to the My Account section of the library catalog.

If you have no outstanding fines or overdue materials, items may be renewed up to three times unless there is a recall or hold placed on the items.
