You may ask to checkout items on Course Reserve from the Circulation desk at Joyner Library. the Music Library, or Laupus Health Sciences Library, depending on which library an instructor has placed the items.
When you ask at the desk, please know your instructor's name, the course number, and the item's title. If you are missing any of that information, please check your syllabus or search the Course Reserves in the library catalog. For assistance, ask at any library service desk.
To checkout a Course Reserve item or any other library item, you will need to present your ECU OneCard (Distance Education students will need your ECU DE ID card) at the Circulation desk.
Course Reserve loan periods vary, so make sure you know when the item is due back to the Circulation desk. Some Course Reserve titles are for in-library use only. Holds and renewals are not permitted for Course Reserve items. Since Course Reserve items are in high demand, overdue fines are higher than for other library materials: $5.00 per hour or $5.00 per day, depending on the item's loan period, up to a fine of $25.00 before the item is billed as lost.
