Joyner Library circulates both Mac and Windows laptops for in-library use only for 24 hours or until thirty minutes before the library closes for business on the day of the loan, whichever comes first. Five Windows laptops and five Mac laptops are available for a 7-day outside the library checkout period and holds may be placed on these laptops. Laptops may be loaned to currently enrolled ECU students. All students must have a valid, working ECU 1 Card to checkout material from the library. Laptops may be checked out from the circulation desk located at the entrance of Joyner Library. More information about laptop check out can be found at https://www.lib.ecu.edu/equipment/joyner.
Laptops may not be renewed.
At Laupus Library, equipment may be loaned to ECU faculty, staff, and students presenting a valid ECU 1 Card.
The laptop loan will include a laptop, power cord, and carrying bag.
The MacBook loan will include a MacBook, power cord and carrying case.
Equipment is loaned for one week, with TurningPoint and projectors being the exceptiond (a 3-day loan), and is due back to the Computer Lab before closing on the due date. A $5 per day fee will be charged for each overdue loan.
Equipment loans should be reserved in advance and can be renewed if not reserved by another borrower. If requesting a renewal, the equipment must be presented to the Computer Lab Manager by the original borrower (cannot be returned by a co-worker or other individual).
Equipment must be returned to the Computer Lab Manager and should never be placed in a book drop for return. No equipment will circulate until it has been inspected and approved by Computer Lab Manager.
If you have read the above guidelines, you may place an equipment reservation request.
